Basketball is back!

Greetings Parkwood families,
 We are excited to announce that Parkwood will be hosting the 2025 Intramural Basketball season.  Registration will be closing on Sunday 11/17/2024 No late registrations will be accepted. 

 Practices will begin after Thanksgiving and the league season will likely begin in early January. This program is coed for ages 3yr-10yr. The number of teams and divisions available will be dependent upon registrations received. The registration cost is $60 which includes a team jersey.

 -Ages 3-4 yrs will be “Introduction to Basketball”. 
-This is a beginner level learning basics like dribble, passing and shooting. Also, a chance to interact with other children and have fun.

- Ages 5-6 yrs will be “Intermediate Level”
- This is a more advanced level. Working on skills and team play while still having fun.

- Ages 7-8 yrs will be “First step to Travel”
- This is more of a development level to get the kids ready for travel.

Ages 9-10 yrs 
- Will continue to develop players in a more competitive environment preparing players for travel. 

 Some very important notes: 

- Sizes for jerseys will be requested at the initial registration. Due to shipping delays, it is necessary for us to provide to our vendor the approximate quantities that are needed.

- Guidelines established by the City of Philadelphia will be followed.

- If you are interested in volunteering (Coach, kitchen, clean up, etc.) please indicate that when registering your child.
